Things To Do In San Antonio
Whether you want to take in the history of the city or spend time outdoors, San Antonio has activities for everyone. Here are a few ideas:
- Go on the River Walk.
The San Antonio River Walk is the perfect way to take in nature, try new food, and buy your souvenirs all in one spot. On the 15-mile-long path, you can stop by restaurants and shops along the way. Or you can hop on a boat for a guided tour down the river. You can learn more about things to do on the River Walk here. - Visit the Alamo.
History lovers will enjoy exploring the Alamo grounds, checking out exhibits, and watching demonstrations. Admission is free, or for an additional cost, you can opt for an audio or guided tour. Learn more about things to do at the Alamo here. - Take a trip to the San Antonio Zoo.
Who doesn’t love going to the zoo? If you’re staying in San Antonio longer than the meeting to make a vacation of it, the San Antonio Zoo is a great activity for the entire family. Their ZOO BOO! event will even be happening while you’re in town where you can take your kids trick-or-treating, visit the pumpkin patch, and more. Places To Eat In San Antonio
One of the best parts about traveling somewhere new is trying the food. Or even if you’ve been to San Antonio before, there are a ton of great restaurants, so you can still try something different. Check out these suggestions:
- Yard House
Located on the San Antonio River Walk and near The Alamo, the Yard House has American cuisine and more than 100 draft beers. It’s also close to the Grand Hyatt San Antonio hotel where the 2021 Annual Selected Meeting is at. After browsing their menu, they have everything from salads and burgers to pizza and seafood, so there’s something for everyone. - Boudro’s
Boudro’s is also close to the annual meeting hotel and on the River Walk, so you don’t have to go far to get a bite to eat. Their website mentions their prickly pear margarita and tableside guacamole that’s called a “San Antonio treasure,” which sounds amazing, so we’re bummed we can’t try it ourselves. Their menu also mentions a variety of steak and seafood dishes, along with some other options. - Alamo BBQ Company
After exploring the Alamo, you can take a short 5-minute drive to the Alamo BBQ Company. It’s also about a 10-minute drive from the annual meeting hotel. They have live music, a full bar, and a playground for the kids, so everyone can have a fun time. Their menu includes BBQ meats like peach-glazed baby backs and homemade sides like mac-n-cheese that’s making my mouth water just thinking about it. - Dough Pizzeria Napoletana
You can’t go wrong with pizza! Located just three minutes away from the annual meeting hotel, you’re only steps away from pizza. Their menu, of course, includes pizza – with toppings from classic cheese to even a sunny-side-up egg. They also have a wide variety of appetizers and wine.
